Rehearsals:

12/17: Dress Rehearsal @ Cannon Center (in regular clothes) MANDATORY FOR ALL

  • All Singers (except Nino): 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm **You need to be seated by 5:30, so plan to arrive between 5:15-5:20.
  • Nino: 6:15 pm – 9:00 pm (Can drop off starting at 6pm)
  • DROPOFF:  To make it easies for parents, Katie or one of our college assistants will be at the door to the lobby of the Cannon Center on Poplar by the huge Metal Sculpture to meet singers.  You can pull over on the side of the road there and let your singer out.  You will see one of our staff will be waiting there at the door, starting at 5pm.  For Nino singers, someone will be there starting at 6pm. **Note: this is a different drop off point than the Main Street address listed on the info graphic we sent out.  That is for older students who can find their way to the stage on their own and for concert attendees, as the entrance on Main Street is closest to the Box Office.
  • PARKING: The parking garage is located at 266 N. Front Street, Memphis and allows easy access to the Cannon Center without leaving the building. Take the elevator to the main floor and as you are coming down the long hall from the convention center to the Cannon Center, you will see a door on the right labeled Stage Door 131A, which will give you direct access to the stage area. We will have a CoroRIo sign on the door.  If you are an audience member, you will continue down the main hall and it will lead to the lobby entrance.
  • Regular clothes for everyone, EXCEPT Corriente and Arroyo, who need to wear black so we can check the black lights.
  • You may bring a snack and water.  Best for vocal health to avoid soft drinks, etc.

12/18: Call time for concert TBD, but not before 1:00 pm. (We are shooting for 1:45pm, assuming everything goes as planned at Friday’s rehearsal.  If we need to go over anything again, the call time will need to be sooner.)

Other details:

  • The concert is about an hour and 15 minutes in length.
  • The lobby will be open for guests at 2pm with plenty of photo ops, and “Grinch” themed activities for kids (ornament making, and activity books to grab to keep them busy throughout the concert).  Santa and the Grinch will also both be available for visits and photos!
  • Concert attire is all black (like for pictures, please cover arms and legs for uniformity), and we will provide a red scarf / tie upon arrival December 18th.
  • Nino & Corriente will have seats in the balcony to watch the concert with 2 assistants when they are not performing.
  • All other singers will remain on the stage throughout the concert.
  • The concert will be professionally recorded by Message in A Bottle Productions (thank you to our sponsor Brown Properties!) and the order link will be posted HERE Friday 12/17.
  • AFTER THE CONCERT: Singers will meet their family and friends in the lobby, EXCEPT  Nino and Corriente who will be escorted to the VIP Lounge (just off the lobby on the side closest to the Metal Sculpture) where parents should come and get them.  (The lobby is big and we are expecting well over 1,000 people so we don’t want little ones caught up in that.)
