Jasmine Harry

Accompanist

Jasmine Harry is completing her doctoral degree in piano pedagogy at the University of South Carolina under Sara Ernst and Omar Roy. She received her master’s degree in piano pedagogy at Michigan State University under the studio of Young-Hyun Cho and her bachelor’s degree in piano performance at Stetson University under the studio of Edit Palmer.

She currently serves as Lecturer of Piano Pedagogy at the University of Memphis School of Music and Office Administrator of Prizm Ensemble in Memphis. She also serves as the Program Manager of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and NCKP 2025 with the Frances Clark Center. In addition to her teaching load, her collaboration efforts include being an accompanist for the CoroRio ensembles.

Her versatile skill as performer and teacher has awarded her with a teaching and collaborative assistantship at the University of South Carolina, teaching group piano class to music majors as well as accompanying the University Chorus Collegiate Choir. In addition to her achievements at the University of South Carolina, she received a full teaching assistantship at Michigan State University, teaching group piano class to music majors. Other collaborative efforts include working with the Young Singers Choir, the Women’s Inspirare Group, Opera Theatre as well as the Chamber Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra at Stetson University.

She is part of several national organizations including Music Teachers’ National Association, National Federation of Music Clubs, National Center for Keyboard Pedagogy, Golden Key International Honor Society, and the Pi Kappa Beta Society. She has served as President ofStetson University Collegiate Chapter of MTNA, the Vice President of University of South Carolina Collegiate Chapter of MTNA and President of University of South Carolina Collegiate Chapter of MTNA.

In addition to her performing and teaching experience, Jasmine Harry has extensive experience presenting at local, state, and national conferences. Her most recent work was at the 2024 Music Teachers’ National Association on the topic Bach to the Basics: Counterpoint Options for All Levels of Study. Additionally, she presented in 2023 at the National Center for Keyboard Pedagogy Conference on the topic The Student with ADHD: Eurhythmics and Movement in Teaching Meter and Rhythm.
