This beautiful, crisp fall weather and preparing for our Giving Tuesday campaign has me reflecting on all that we have to be thankful for. The CoroRio staff and I are so grateful for our CoroRio family and for the opportunity to work with each of your children every week. It is truly a blessing to us!
I’m breaking my normal one post per month routine to ask if you are able to help at all in getting a few more businesses to purchase an ad by Friday, November 15th- think about your hairdresser, your church, your insurance agent, bank, favorite gift shop, realtor, plumber, electrician, house contractor, boutique, restaurant, etc. For every ad you sell, we give you tuition credit!
These ads help the organization offset the costs for running a non-profit that are not covered by tuition. For example, did you know that our insurance bill alone is over $3,000 a year? Our number one priority is making tuition affordable for every family, and our commitment to that priority is shown by more than $15,000 in tuition scholarships for this season. One way we can sustain this commitment is by raising money for the organization through ad space in the program book that we will use at all of our events for the entire season. This is a great opportunity for local businesses to get some exposure as well. Our estimated reach for the book is 6,000-8,000 people since we use it for all our concerts, school events, farmer’s markets, camps, etc. for the entire season.
Here’s how helping us can also help you!
The following referral credits will be applied to a singer’s Active Network account for ads that are sold where the purchaser lists the singer as their referral contact:
¼ page: $25
½ page: $50
Full page: $75
Here is a picture and a message you can copy and paste with anyone who might be interested:
Hi! We are part of CoroRio, a non-profit community choir that is based in Desoto County whose vision is to transform the lives of children from all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds by giving them the skills, self-discipline, and confidence to succeed in music and in life. The organization is in its third year of a pay-what-you-can tuition program that allows students from all walks of life the opportunity to participate. We know that this is an investment in the future of our community and we are trying to help the organization raise money so they can continue to offer this to the students who need it most. We are on a short timeline, but are hoping you can help. Please take a look at the advertising opportunities and consider placing an order through the online form here: https://cororio.org/donations/program-book-ads2425/?swcfpc=1The leaders of the organization are offering to design your ad for free (usually a $50 charge) due to the short turnaround. You just have to email her with your logo and contact information at [email protected] Our final deadline is November 15th. Please let me know if you have any questions!
We will be accepting ads through Friday, November 15th. Please share it with anyone who is interested in supporting the arts in our community- or your singer, since their purchase will offset the cost of their tuition as well!
In September we passed out copies of last year’s program books as an example. If you need another copy of the program book to show potential customers, we will have them at the check-in table for the next few weeks. If you have any trouble with the QR code, shoot me a text or an email and I’ll be happy to send the link directly! Thanks for your help getting the word out about this opportunity!
Also, if you want to place a personal quarter page or half page ad with a picture and shoutout for your singer, we are going to run a special on those for $75 for the quarter page (regular $135) and $115 for the half page (regular $210). Here’s how to do that:
1. Email [email protected] with the picture you want to use and the text.
2. Send $75 or $115 payment through Venmo (@midsouthmusicinstitute) or let me know you will be bringing cash or check to rehearsal Tuesday night.
That’s it! We will design the ad and put it in the book for you. If you prefer to design your own ad, that’s fine too. The dimensions need to be 2.75 wide x 4.25 tall (vertical) for the quarter page or 5.5 wide x 4.25 tall (horizontal) for the half page and sent in jpg or png format.
