CoroRio Oxford
CoroRio Oxford - Children's and Youth Choirs
New for the 2024-2025 Season, CoroRio is expanding to Oxford! Offering two choirs based on current vocal ability and literacy skills, these treble choir members will receive instruction on healthy vocal technique, sight-reading skills, theory, and musicianship skills.
A very simple, laid-back audition will be conducted to place students in either the Children's Choir (generally elementary-junior high ages) or Youth Choir (generally junior high-high school ages). Registration can be completed prior to the audition, or after visiting a rehearsal and seeing if CoroRio is right for you!
The students will perform in two major concerts a year, one being Christmas with CoroRio at the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts in Memphis and the other in the Spring Concert in early May. Other performances local to Oxford can be considered as membership and community interest grows!
Rehearsals:
- Thursdays, 5:00-6:15 PM and 6:30-7:45 PM
- September 5th - May 8th
- Oxford First Presbyterian, 924 Van Buren Ave
