Happy December!
We look forward to seeing everyone tonight at our second to last rehearsal for Christmas with CoroRio! Please check out this blog post for all the details regarding rehearsal times, call times for the performance, and other details to share with folks about tickets and video orders!
Some of you may have seen our post about our Giving Tuesday campaign on social media. This is one of our most important fundraisers of the year that allows us to continue our sliding scale tuition program. If you are willing, here is the direct link to the post to be shared, as well as the direct link to the donation page. Your sharing will help us spread the info to philanthropic family and friends who also might appreciate a chance to win tickets to see Celtic Woman at the Heindl Center, or season tickets for Kudzu Playhouse, or get passes to our Donors Celebration Reception and box seats for the upcoming Christmas with CoroRio concert!
Although we appreciate any and all donations from our member’s families, we want to make sure you understand that this email is not specifically directed towards you or meant to pressure you into giving more! This is really in case you want to help us find other like-minded individuals in the community who understand the value of the arts in the lives of our young people! You can copy and paste the wording from the event description (included below), or include your own testimonial to make it more personal. We are grateful for each and every effort that is made on behalf of MMI & CoroRio.
Here’s the fundraiser description that you can share with friends and family:
The CoroRio vision is to transform the lives of children from ALL ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds by giving them the skills, self-discipline, and confidence to succeed in music and in life. In an effort to better align ourselves with that vision, combined with the financial burden we know the current economy has placed on many families, we have continued our need-based tuition program that allows families to pay what they can afford. It is the desire of the MMI Board of Directors that every student who desires membership in CoroRio be able to participate, regardless of their family’s financial means.
We have met our goal of including students from all socioeconomic backgrounds through this new program, and are now seeking like-minded individuals in the community to help us bridge the gap between what these students are able to pay and what it costs our organization for them to be a member. Your donation can literally make it possible for a talented student who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford a membership, to be able to receive a high quality, potentially life-changing, music education.
Your contribution will DEFINITELY make an impact, whether you are able to donate $5 or $500, every little bit helps!! Thank you for supporting the arts in our community!
This year, we have a goal of raising $4,000 to help continue to make our sliding tuition program a reality. Here are a few ways that we want to thank you for your generosity!
Drawings for the Kudzu Season Tickets and Celtic Woman Tickets will take place at noon on our Facebook and Instagram pages on Saturday, December 7th.
