Practice Tracks / Instructions:

  • You do not have to have the music completely memorized, but you need to know it so well that you are only looking down to see what comes next/ count through your next entrance.  Please PRACTICE!
  • Here is a link to the Google Drive folder with practice tracks: MSO Practice Tracks
  • Here is a link to the MSO Conductor’s favorite version of Kaddish: Kaddish Symphony (Round starts around 40:00, and the Finale (pg 88 in your score) starts at 51:10.  Please don’t avoid listening to this, even if you are overwhelmed at first!  You need to have a good idea of how everything fits together before next week!  I made practice tracks with the recording in the background and me walking you through each page and playing your part on the piano to help you get started- they are listed as “with orchestra” in the Google Drive folder.
  • Make sure that you are solid with ALL your notes/ entrances on the following pages:
    • Pgs 78-81 (Round- please practice this up to tempo with the practice tracks provided!  Also practice with the Orchestra track that I created for you in the Google Drive folder so you can know exactly when your group enters and what it all sounds like together…I walk you through it on the track.)
    • Pgs 88-93
    • Pgs 95-97 (3 part section)
    • Pgs 105-106
    • Pg 114-115
  • Your learning will be much more concrete if you will commit to practicing at least 15-20 minutes a day this weekend (better than one huge time chunk Sunday evening!).  Please do everything you can to be prepared and represent CoroRio well next week.  This is a huge honor and we want to be as professional as possible.  Thank you in advance for your hard work!
