First Rehearsal Information!

The big day has finally arrived and we can’t wait to get started.  Here is a quick checklist of
things to remember for rehearsals today!

We are meeting at Desoto Hills Baptist Church (4680 Getwell Road, Southaven) for rehearsals each week. 

Nino: 4:30-5:15

Corriente: 4:30-5:30

Arroyo, Rio, Fuente: 5:30 Social Time (Meet at Pavilion behind the church for this week!) 6:00-7:30 Rehearsal

**Don’t forget we will also have a Austria/Germany tour meeting at 7:30 pm tonight!  We will meet in the choir room on the 2nd floor.

Please bring a black 3-ring binder for music.  We WILL pass out music tomorrow evening.  We will provide a name label for the binder that will also be used for attendance check-in.   
Please only bring water for beverages into the church.  We cannot have any other drinks in the rehearsal spaces per church policy.  Thanks in advance for helping us be diligent guests!

Thanks everyone for doing a great job getting paperwork and payments taken care of last week!  It is going to help make tomorrow run so much more smoothly! If you did not attend registration last week, we must have an Annual Agreement, Emergency Medical Release and Media Waiver, and the first month’s payment before your child can begin rehearsals.  (See prior email for details on each of those.)  We will have copies of the forms available for you to fill out at rehearsal, or you can find them at: www.cororio.org > Member Info (password

If you didn’t pick up an Ad Sale packet and program book from last year (to use an example when selling), they will be available at rehearsals the next few weeks.  You can pick up as many copies as you need.  Remember that these are due by October 2nd if you are planning to participate in the referral discount program.

     *If you are planning to complete an application for Financial Assistance, the board of directors is meeting next Monday evening (8/27) to review applications received for this year.  Need based scholarships do not carry over and need to be requested on an annual basis.  Mrs. Norris must have the application and supplementary materials by Monday morning at 10 am to have time to prepare the applications for the meeting. (Everything is submitted anonymously.)  After this initial review, the board will meet again later in September, but keep in mind that money is given based on demonstrated need and as available on a first come first serve basis.  Contact Joelle with any questions on that!   

DROP OFF/PICK UP PROCEDURE

Please always enter and exit through the west entrance that is found on the Getwell Road side of the
church.  We should also park on that side of the building.  After you enter the building, you will walk straight down the hall until you come to the attendance check-in table. (You won’t be able to miss it!)

NINO & CORRIENTE PICKUP:  The safety of our students is our number one priority.  Our new pick up policy will be that students in Nino or Corriente must be picked up from the doors on the west side of the church (where we will enter).  Parents can form a pickup line in the parking lot by those doors (coming from the north and facing south so you can pull through and easily exit onto Getwell) OR come in and pick up your child.  No children should be in the parking lot without an adult.  It gets really busy around 5:30 when some groups are coming and come are going.  We have several teenage drivers, plus the church traffic and we just can’t be too
careful with our little ones.  Please discuss the process with your child so they know whether to wait for you to come in and get them or to wait at the door for you to come through the pick up
line.  Thanks so much for your consideration in this matter!

The church has requested that we keep all food and beverage at the tables in the MPC (Sanctuary).  On weeks when TNT meets, we will move a few tables out into the lobby area for those who bring food.  We are very grateful that Desoto Hills generously shares their space with us and we want to be attentive to their requests and do our part in keeping their building clean and beautiful.  It would be helpful for all parents to help remind our members to be respectful of this request and make gentle reminders as necessary, or notify a staff member so we can do so.  Our members also should only be in the assigned rehearsal areas for each group or in the main lobby (grand hall).  Students are absolutely forbidden to wander into other areas of the church.  Students should also refrain from running, yelling, etc. when in the building.  The playground cannot be used unless a parent is supervising and then is at your own risk.  Students should not arrive more than 15 min early for rehearsal as we do not have sufficient supervision available before then.

I think that covers most everything for tomorrow!!  Looking forward to a great kickoff!
