Singers with CoroArroyo*, CoroFuente*, CoroRio*, and the Mississippi River Chorale are invited to attend the Galway Choral Festival in Galway, Ireland in June of 2025!

The primary work to be performed is Elaine Hagenberg’s ”Illuminare” and the composer will be in attendance at the rehearsals and performance!

Members of CoroRio and MRC for the 2024-2025 Season will have the opportunity to learn the music during regularly scheduled rehearsals; minimal time commitments outside of regular rehearsals may be necessary, but will be planned on an as-needed basis. Share with your friends and encourage them to come and join us for the season and for our trip!

*Singers in 7th grade or younger for the 2024-2025 school year are required to have a parent/chaperone in attendance on the trip.

Ireland 2025 Brochure

Why Ireland in June and no longer London in March?

Since the initial information and quoted price for the London trip went out to CoroRio members in February, the proposed High School Choral Festival trip to London has gone up in price due to airfare. In order to keep the original price, we would have had to push our travel dates back by two days, which would force students and teachers to miss school after spring break.

This causes a number of other complications, and the Board and Directors made the decision to seek out other opportunities. This trip to Ireland serves a wider population of our MidSouth Music Institute members and is more accessible due to the summer time commitment.
