Mississippi High School All-State Honor Choir Auditions

We missed the All-State Honor Choir audition deadline…it was September 14th, much earlier this year than it has been in the past. However, the chair has extended grace to this crazy lady and will accept CoroRio students this week if any of you are interested.

Here is the basic info:

Auditions are October 23rd at Ole Miss in Oxford

Honor Choir is March 28-30th at Southern Miss in Hattiesburg

Audition fee is $10, Music fee is $15, for a total of $25 due if you want to audition.

Audition fee must be paid via Paypal by Thursday at noon if you want to sign up. Please also fill out this quick google form: All-State Sign Up

You will be responsible for learning the 3 audition pieces on your own. Practice tracks are available on the MSACDA website here, in addition to more specific details: More All-State Info (You will have to click to both the Mixed Choir and Women’s Choir pages to get the tracks for the 3 audition pieces.)

I will order the music for you on Thursday so you can start working on it asap. If you make the honor choir, I will order the rest of the music for you and you will be responsible for learning it before the honor choir happens in March.

You will be responsible for getting to the honor choir and for all of your own hotel arrangements, etc. The registration fee for the honor choir is an additional $75 if you are selected. That will be due later this fall.
