August 2024 Newsletter – Welcome!

Hello, CoroRio families!

It seems like only yesterday we were saying “See you later,” at Camp CoroRio. We hope that you and your families have had a restful summer break and are excited to be gearing up for another school year! This will be the last email sent to 2023-2024 Active Network registered emails. Be sure to register now for 2024-2025 to ensure you stay up to date on all our activities! If you are a new member and are receiving this email, or are a returning member and receiving this email twice, not to worry – you’re good to go!

Rehearsals for Southaven based choirs start August 20th, and Oxford choirs start September 5th. If you haven’t already, now is the time to register for Season 12 with CoroRio! From our “Elf” themed Christmas with CoroRio, adding on new choirs in Oxford, and our optional trip to Ireland, this season is full of exciting learning experiences that we don’t want anyone to miss out on.

Speaking of those experiences, the calendar page on the website is a great place to see all the events that the MidSouth Music Institute is sponsoring this season – but the calendar in your Band app will keep you updated on what is for your choir specifically. If ever you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me (Amy) or your conductor directly (contact information is listed below in the signature of this email).

Here’s a taste of what is coming up this month! These three events are perfect for potential new members, so be sure to share with friends!

The registration portal for the Ireland trip is open NOW! The trip is open to all members of CoroArroyo, CoroFuente, CoroRio, CoroRio Oxford Youth Choir, and the Mississippi River Chorale. Deposits are due on September 15th.

Don’t forget to turn your “push” notifications for the Band app ON. I was victim to missing a few messages this summer because it had switched “off” in an update, so I know how easy it can be to miss them. From class surveys to quick reminders about upcoming events and rehearsals, we promise to not overload you with notifications and keep it to the essentials! Band links are listed below in the signature of this email.

See you August 20th, if not before!
